Reefers Rejoice, Dispensary Locator App Approved

An App that helps patients find Marijuana dispensaries has been approved by Apple. Only available in California, but should encompass other states that legally sell it soon too.

App developer NexStudios has launched iPot, an application for Apple’s iPhone that lists nearby stores selling the good stuff. “Dispensaries are opening daily, and there’s very little way to find them.” said Chris Seta, a NexStudios co-founder, one of iPot’s lead developers. There are two versions available of iPot: a free one, and a paid version costing $2 which allows you to see reviews, and ratings from other users. So far the app has been dowloaded over 100,000 times! with about 80%, downloading the free version. That’s about $40,000 (not subtracting Apples cut) from user downloads. Include that with a $100 fee dispensaries pay to be listed on the app (800 have signed up so far), for a grand total of: $120,000!!
